Shipping & returns

How orders move from Osborne Park to your front door.

Do you ship Australia-wide?

Yes. We ship Australia-wide at a flat rate per item type, calculated at checkout. Sails and accessories ship free on orders over $1,000. Most orders leave Osborne Park within 1–2 business days, and local pickup is available.

Do you ship internationally?

Not at the moment. We ship within Australia only. If you're outside Australia, contact Severne directly for the dealer nearest you.

What's your returns policy on new gear?

Unused gear in its original packaging can be returned within 14 days for a refund or store credit. Shipping costs are non-refundable. Email us first so we can give you a return reference and an address.

Sizing & gear advice

Not sure what to ride? Talk to us before you buy.

What sail size should I be riding?

Sail size depends on your weight, the conditions you sail in, and what discipline you're chasing: wave, freeride, slalom, foil. As a rough guide, most adults carry a 5.0–5.7m quiver in WA's typical summer westerlies. We're happy to size you up properly: drop us a line with your weight, skill level, and home spot.

How much board volume do I need?

For freeride and intermediate sailors, a board volume of about your weight in kg + 30L is a good starting point. Wave riders go lower (–10 to –20L); foilers can go significantly lower thanks to lift. Call us if you want a specific recommendation for your conditions.

Can I get a recommendation by email or phone?

Yes, that's what we're here for. Email or call (08) 9446 6847 with your weight, ability level, the spots you sail, and the disciplines you're into. We'll come back with a specific kit list, not a generic upsell.

Outlet & used gear

Pre-owned, ex-demo, and proto stock in the Outlet.

What's the difference between Used and Proto in the Outlet?

Used = pre-owned gear from last season or our demo fleet. Lightly used, inspected, sailing-ready. Proto = pre-production or test-pilot gear that didn't make it to the retail line. Often functionally identical to the production model, sometimes one-of-a-kind. Each Outlet product page lists what specifically you're getting.

Is Outlet gear covered by warranty?

Outlet gear is sold as-is and not covered by Severne's standard new-product warranty. We inspect every piece before listing it, but if anything's not as described when it arrives, contact us within 7 days.

Can I return an Outlet purchase?

Outlet items are one-of-one and final-sale, so we don't accept change-of-mind returns. If the item arrives damaged or significantly different from the listing, get in touch within 7 days and we'll make it right.

Demo days

Try the gear at Pelican Point before you commit.

When are your demo days?

We run demo days at Pelican Point during the summer windsurf season, typically when the forecast looks good. Subscribe to the email list at the foot of any page for dates, or check our Instagram for the next session.

Is there a cost to demo gear?

No, demo days are free. Just bring your own wetsuit, boom-height harness, and a sense of stoke. We supply boards, sails, masts, booms, and fins.

Warranty & repairs

What's covered and how to lodge a claim.

What does Severne's warranty cover?

Severne offers a 12-month manufacturer's warranty on new sails, boards, and hardware against manufacturing defects. It does not cover normal wear, impact damage, or misuse. Keep your receipt; we'll need it to lodge a claim.

How do I lodge a warranty claim?

Email us with your order reference, photos of the issue, and a short description of what happened. We'll triage it locally and, if it's a warranty case, coordinate with Severne. Most claims are resolved within 2–3 weeks.

Do you repair sails and boards?

We don't run an in-house repair shop, but we can point you to a couple of trusted ding-repair guys in Perth who do excellent work. Drop us a line and we'll send you the contacts.
